This is no longer my daily driver, this changeover valve is messing up again, and my rear tank's fuel pump quit working. I don't drive this enough to keep the gas fresh with two full tanks, and only need one tank.
I want to convert this truck to where it only uses the front gas tank. What changes would I have to make? Right now gas is leaking to the rear tank, and I can't use that tank. Ideally I would like a simpler inline fuel filter and remove the dual function reservoir. Another problem I have is these aren't simple rubber fuel lines--they're hard plastic with special connectors.
I really need some help in switching this over to a single tank truck.

Reason: typo
If you have the money or ever need to replace the tank you could do the 38 gallon tank swap, there's a write up over in the 87-97 forum, it would use the rear tank area instead but you'd end up with about the same capacity as having both tanks working. But it sounds like now it would be better to do as Franklin2 said
