F250 83 6.9 Diesel w/dual tanks. Does anyone know if the two tanks are totally isolated from each other? Inotherwords, if I select the rear tank, then does the return line JUST go to the rear tank? 100%?
I've got another topic about gasoline in my tanks, and I just thought that instead of having to buy like 8 gas jugs to get the stuff out, I can just get 4 and offload one tank of the gas and when I finally use that gas elsewhere, then I can work on the other tank.
That has to be the way it works, otherwise you could be returning fuel to an already full tank. That would cause problems. I remember a post about fuel comming out of the fill neck on one tank while running off the other. The fix for the problem was the selector valve not switching return line.
