Out for a test drive after a 4 month hibernation!

Throttle is pulled out a little bit to warm up.

Out heading 50 miles north. Windshield is leaking in the rain. I didn't put a sealant on the front lip of the rubber. So test is paying off.

Heading back.

Back home. That was fun!

Cool! Thanks for the pics. About fit to be tied here, fuel prices are lower right now, cabin fever etc. Road trip sounds good!

That's a cool truck, interesting spin on the grille. I see no bumper, what I really like on these is 46-48 car bumpers, they wrap around a bit, would look cool on yours too.

Looking great Mike! Dang that's a great set of bars on that thing. Do you have stock gearing in the rear axle? Maybe a later axle? Looks like you are out in the open country and keeping up with the traffic.

Thank you! Yes Jaguar XJ6 IRS and IFS. 3.07 to 1 with 28 inch tires. I can run 70 to 75 easily. Speed limit is 60 on this road.

Thank you! The 46-48 bumpers do look good on these trucks; you may have seen the 46ish pickup with the with this bumper and grille. I was thinking a Bonneville push bumper would look good. However, I have decided that I don't want to make a statement with the bumper.

But Mike, let's get serious.... One ditzy housewife backing into that grill at the supermarket and those unimaginably awesome grill bars would be toast. Let's see a bumper on that beauty for God's sake....And don't even get me started about hitting a deer. They are rampant in these parts, but way smaller than your variety.

I do have a bumper on the front and back. I could bump something like a post. The bumper horns are on there with the two center hoops being bolted together. Any ideas on a bumper here? Roo Bar?

Nice truck and looked like a good day for a cruise to fight the Winter blues. I agree a bumper is required to protect those bars. Maybe a bobbed original bumper?

I choose my parking spots carefully. I usually only park in the garage after I go for a short trip. The stock bumper is 12" from the ground to the center.

You've inspired me to get my truck out for a shake down. Hasn't been run since Nov and it's almost March! I'm sure the battery is dead.

Can't wait till I can take my truck out for a ride. Yesterday it was 64˚ and sunny here which ain't bad for the NE in mid-feb. Of course we still have salt on the roards left over from last weeks 12" snowfall.
