Understand, that batteries with the CAT name on them are possibly not manufactured by the same company in all areas. (and it doesn't matter either)
It's far cheaper to buy those batteries from local manufacturers than to ship them all over the world. (the shipping can be MORE than the actual cost of the battery)
I have NAPA branded batteries in my F350. IMHO, I think you're wasting your time (and possibly money) going out of your way to find batteries with a particular brand name on them......
My last set was Advance Auto AGM's. 930CCA at 32* and 750CCA@zero degrees. They were $179 each, used coupon code TRT30 and did in store pick-up, saved $50 off each battery. Just check out twice, use the code again. Good warranty, AGM technology is good stuff and Advance Auto's in almost every town you visit.
I have heard the CAT batteries do last a good period of time.
Watson, those sound like the exact specs for the batteries iPad outperform Motomaster Canadian Tire. They are branded as AGM Ultra, but same CCA and CA. They are $189 a piece up here now sale is over. I should have bought two but my batteries are still load testing good.
I'm curious why I haven't seen anyone on FTE mention the Sears Die Hard Platinum batteries. I'm pretty sure they are rebranded Odyssey batteries (I'm sure they at least used to be). They are used a lot by Jeep people with heavy electrical loads like lights and winches and have a good reputation.

They are not sold anymore, have to buy odysseys, but at 300$ a piece

so were mine... when I seen low 10v during a start... they were gone, passing or not. They are sitting on the garage floor as we speak, 12.6v each and wondering what to do with them. Advance won't take them back after 1.5 years and I'm not giving them back for core's at $20..... probably start a gas vehicle easily for years. Thinking of Craigslist'ing them for $60 each.
Two brand new AGMs are in the truck now, seen 11.6 at the lowest during very cold morning start...27*, cold for Virginia Beach VA.
