What's up men. So this is kind of like a part 2 to my Auto Climate Controll install in a XLT. I FINALLY found a pair of heated and cooled seats with leather for only $500 bucks. If any of you watch 2011-2015 F250 F350 stuff, I snagged them from GL up in Michigan. I did some pre testing awhile ago and obviously when you press the buttons there are different voltages that increase for low medium high. I plan to bypass the whole BCM deal and try to go straight from the fuse box, or if I have to from the back of the CCM. I will update with pics when they arrive which should be sometime next week or the week after! I am pretty pumped!!!
Are these seats from 2011-2012 truck? The controls for 2013 and up with the 8" radio screen have the controls on screen. I believe the controls for 2011-2012 were switches on the center console with the climate controls.

SEAT HEATER CONTROL MODULE 2011-2013 FORD LINCOLN #BU5Z-14C724-A
This is what I have in my truck now. It took some searching but I found it on EBay last year for $50 bucks. I will take a look at that module. I seem to remember bookmarking that the heater seats control module that is. The 2013 trucks and 2014 could still be ordered with the buttons. You just had to order the truck correctly.
There is a separate module tied to the seats. My 2011 had a drivers cooling issue that the dealer fixed by changing it. Can't wait to see them working!

You can install the dual zone controls but you will not actually have dual zone temps as you probably know. Seems like some previous threads stated there was a blend door missing or a control missing that actually allowed the dual zone temps....
but yes, he will need this head and might need a wiring harness also to hook them up without a lot of wire splicing.....
Larry I appreciate your insight. I have made all previous threads that deal with the climate control module where I addressed what you said. All features work except for the dual zone. The Auto works perfectly, I will tackle the heated and cooled when my seats come. I have had a ton of dialogue with Ford Motor Company about this, along with numerous master techs. I have about 5 codes stored based on sensors that should be there but aren't. This whole project definitely isn't a plug and play type deal. Adding the climate control module that gives you Auto is though.
Ok, so hate to double post, but nobody else has posted. Seats came in and they are good to as far as looks. I am gonna grab one of the spare 12V batteries I have to test all the motors, and even the heated and cooled seat function. The guy cut plugs and wiring from the other truck and included them with the seats which was nice. This is definitely NOT for somebody who doesn't understand wiring, how to use a multimeter etc. That being said, I plan to just run the ALWAYS hot from a 30A fuse(Can't remember which block), straight to the seat switches. After I get all the seats in the truck and the power working, then I can start on the heated and cooled function. Any of you guys who have the service manual, is there any pinouts for the seats or anything?? Tonight I am gonna cut all the tape, and sheathing away from the wires so I can trace which go to what etc, and seperate the wires that go FROM the seat switches to the motor and then which wire is the power and ground from those. I repeat, I am not, and do not plan to go through the BCM or any other modules. I am tackling this like you would if you added power seats to an old car. I am going straight for power and ground. For the heated and cooled part, what I plan on doing is seeing if my harness currently on the truck, the part that plugs into the climate control module, has any wires that increase in voltage when I press the buttons. If that fails, I will be cracking it open and soldering jumper wires from the PCB, to a fuse, then to the heated part first, then I will see whats good with the cooled seats. I have all the modules that you would need if your trying to go through the computer, but theres no way that I am even going to try to attempt that. Please share thoughts and opinions, I appreciate all. Wait, I don't want to hear why didn't I order the truck with the options to begin with, that is neither here nor there
Please don't take this the wrong way but if I wanted these options on my truck, I would have traded the 2013 in on a truck that had these options. This seems like it is going to be a crazy amount of work. But that's just me.
I'll keep reading this thread and I'm excited about you being this excited about this project. Just something that I would never consider for myself.
Were you able to make the seats work? I am trying to install heated/cooled seats from a 2011 F250 Lariat into a 2011 xl that didn't even have power seats. I already have added the dual climate control center but didn't add the extra blenders to make dual climate work.
