hi guys new to the forum a friend to me to post here. i got a 1996 5speed ford ranger 2.3 2wd. and i need to a new harmonic balancer ive been looking left and right and i havent been able to find it. also went to parts store and they cant find it. dont want to go to the dealer yet i just wanted to know if maybe you guys have a site to refer me to that will have this part
Used from a local boneyard or perhaps car-part dot com.
Parts like this are rarely produced by aftermarket suppliers. Just not enough volume. If you want on-line service, check with the site supporters and others. Some swear by rock auto some swear at... take you pick.
I'd go to a u-pull site personally as their price would be less and the part just as good. If you are replacing because of wear on the front seal surface, you may be able to get a sleeve that will fit over original and stop the leakage.
