When shopping Amazon

Just a thought that everyone probably already knows, but when shopping Amazon, I would discourage folks from accepting the answers posted in the question and answer section as accurate when choosing parts.

I sometimes buy on Amazon when their price is the same as my wholesale since my wife is a Prime member. That way gets to me faster.

Anyway, I was ordering the seal for a Traveler Lite commode and had looked up the fitment in my parts catalog. The standard seal actually fits many models depending on how you position it. So I happened to jump down to the Q&A and saw multiple questions asking what it would fit and the majority of the questioners were told incorrectly the part would not fit their application.

As you might suspect, there are large numbers of RV parts that fit multiple applications, so just something to check if you can't find the part number you are looking for.

Good advice.
I discount, or even disregard, easily 98% of the Q&A's on there. By the time I get to Amazon, I've already researched the part thoroughly.

In fairness to Amazon (and several other shopping sites), I frequently get forwarded users questions on items I've previously purchased. If I have an opinion, good or bad, or feel I can help, then I will respond.

Is my opinion 100% accurate, I don't know, but I do my best; and Amazon is pretty good about taking stuff back. Just don't abuse that option when it is your mistake.

I was not talking about user opinions here. I was focused on correct information regarding fitment or technical points that were simply incorrect.

I've run into that before. But I'm also verifying from another source.
