Does anybody besides MP make a good drop in disc conversion for a 69 F100?
I have seen dome other kits but they are..Rather suspicious on the quality. Do you guys know who else makes a drop in kit? I tried Wilwood and Fatman already, sadly they don't make one.
Thanks gents.
A bolt-on if using their bracket, adapters, and 90s Dodge truck rotors. Ford rotors require a bit of machining to fit the drum hub into the rotor.
Either system will require early to mid-90s GM half-ton truck calipers, 80s Camaro hoses, and 1/4-inch longer wheel studs.
.. and since it uses GM calipers, you can "upgrade" to Wilwood calipers if ya want for some eye candy.
And don't forget to add a prop valve to your shopping list.

Using JY Prices... I figure about $400 plus brake pads.
I got the ENTIRE '77 F100 front suspension assembly (frame rails cut just under the cab, forward) for $125.00.

I haven't totaled up the tickets but, I do have several hundred dollars in the conversion because I didn't cheap out on replacing things like kingpins, rotors, hoses, calipers, wheel bearings/seals, polyurethane bushings, etc.
I had bought the discs/I-beams more than a year ago. From then until recently, I gathered all the new rebuild parts, here and there, to spread the cost out over time until I had everything I needed to swap from drums to discs.
This is just a personal point of view but, I prefer to use all Ford conversion components, and if possible, to get them from one vehicle rather than an aftermarket Heinz 57 mix of parts from two, three or four different automobile manufacturers.
It sounds tempting to put some brake company's components on that doesn't require removing spindles and what-not. However, all these trucks are old now and unless the steering is tight and unless the kingpins, wheel bearings, I-beam and radius arm bushings have been replaced very recently, you're not going to get the most potential out of those new aftermarket discs, if the front end is worn. --might as well remove the stock suspension pieces to replace these items (if they are old and worn) --and as long as you have those parts off, there's really no reason not to use '73-'79 Ford disc brake components. --but, the truck is yours to make whatever call you decide to do with it.
My stock '69 F100 front drums/I-beams.

After I changed the front suspension to the 'new ' '77 F100 front discs/I-beams.
In the past month this is the only thing within 3 1/2 hours that has popped up.
1979 Ford F100
I feel bad about savaging that truck ,still in great shape.
It should have what I need though.
2 trucks ONE PRICE 79 swb and 1979 lwb short 79 f100
Will the I-beams from this 79 LWB swap over to mine directly?
It says here that up to '79 will work for donor parts, but I want to be sure before I throw down the money.

I can also use its four speed tranny and linkage to bolt to my 302 to replace my 3 on the tree.
Can you guys tell me if this would work?
Buy a donor that has the engine and tranny that you have or want to swap to, not just any old donor.
