#4 cyl. 35psi

83 300/4.9 refresh kit in engine

no work done on head


dropped #4 cyl (35 psi)


IS THERE A "CHEAP" FIX TO THIS, I am on limited funds and time frame.

That completely depends on what's causing it.

Have you done a wet/dry compression test?
Put a little oil in the cylinder and see if your compression goes up. If it does, you have issues with your rings. If it doesn't, you have issues with your valves. Valves would be the easier of the two options, as it may simply be that the valve isn't closing.

But, there's no way to know without first finding why it lost compression.
