Wire sticking out above OBDII port
Hey guys, just had a quick question for you. Right above my obdII port, there is a blue wire with yellow stripe sticking out. It goes into the harness there for the port, but it isn't plugged into anything. Is it supposed to be? Or is it there for something I don't have, like CA emissions or something? Thanks guys.
I just happened to notice it when I plugged my new scangauge in. Also, my my scangauge is reading "Not Ready" every time I scan. Any of you guys experience that?

I tried using google to find the info for you, but all I could turn up was a few pictures showing what pin was for what. I will try looking in the service manual tomorrow and see if I can find the information.
****EDIT: Curiosity got the best of me and I couldn't wait 'til morning. It looks like pin 5 is a ground signal. 18ga light blue and yellow wire.

I appreciate you hunting that down for me. Light blue with yellow stripe is definitely the one. I will try and get a better look tomorrow and see if it looks like it was yanked somehow. The end looked super clean though. It seems odd that a ground being disconnected wouldn't disable the port. Everything seems to work ok, with the exception of the Scangauge saying "Not Ready" to scan. When I use the command feature to force it to tell me what test isn't done, it says it is O2 sensor monitor, and 02 heat sensor monitor that are not finished. I have taken it on numerous trips appx 100 miles, lots of local trips, and one 1400 mile round trip since I had it, so I would think in that time all tests would have finished up, lol. I will take it on another 1400 mile rd trip around Christmas time when I go home on leave, looking forward to having the scangauge on there this time.
