Any difference (other than the fact that Blue is 1/2 the price of the Ford brand and has free delivery via Amazon Prime--even to Alaska) between the two DEF brands? Picked up a 2013 F250 with 13k miles; have put on 1k in 4 weeks but no DEF notification...yet. Just planning ahead; thanks so much for the advice on this board--all comments/opinions are greatly appreciated!
It's all the same goat pissed mixture. I picked 2 jugs today at NAPA and got sticker shock. I'm saving these jugs and making a trip to Flying J next time to buy from the bulk pump. Next time I'm up that way, I'll top the truck off and fill the jugs which should be enough to last me 6 months.
Where do you get the Ford DEF spout? The local Ford dealer told me Ford does not provide the spout anymore. I'd still like to get one. Any ideas? Was I fed a line?
That was my plan too. I bought a jug at the Ford dealer to take on our trip. The jug didn't have a spout in it and when I asked that's when the parts guy told me Ford doesn't supply a spout with the jug any more. But I'd still like to get one.
There are only a couple of companies that actually produce DEF, then bottle it for companies like peak and motorcraft and blue DEF, and also make the stuff at the pumps in the truck stops.

It's all the same stuff.
It's also produced in every College Sophomore O-Chem laboratory. Simple synthesis. It would be hard for any manufacturer to mess it up.

Dave,
I have purchased two spouts from Ford. One to keep in my garage and the other in trucks tool box. Yes Ford sells the spouts the two I purchased were from two different dealers.
