I am putting my calipers back on after having to take them off and I replaced the two bronze crush washers and tightened them up good and tight. Now I feel if i tighten the bolt any more it will snap or strip out. it will only leak under pressure. thanx
73Custom is correct, there should be a copper/bronze washer on either side of the fitting. Did you check for dirt, grime, shavings, foreign junk, on the surfaces of the hose fitting and the caliper? Also check on the underside of the bolt, too. I always spray the hell out of all those particular fittings and fasteners with brake cleaner and wipe them clean...almost spit-shined. You don't have to apply a great deal of torque to get those things to seal.
