Does anyone have a good picture of the engine bay for a straight axle truck? I am trying to get a look at the factory motor mount locations of a 292 Y to compare for mine. The engine rebuilders took mine motor out and them we did the Crown Vic swap before really thinking about it and now I do not recall how it was. I'm a idiot.
Anyways, I am finally about to start making some progress of this truck and am hoping to have it running within the next week or two. I am excited.
Look at my thread 1964 ford custom cab restore and see if there are pictures there that will help. It will be near the top soon as I put new shoes on it today.

I can only see the front mount, which of course is the one I know. How is it mounted in the rear of the engine?
The rear of the engine uses the bell housing to mount to the cross member. It goes under the bell housing about where the trans bolts to the housing. There is an ear on both sides of the housing that bolts to the cross member. The ear sits on a big round rubber mount about 2.5 to maybe 3 inches across and about 1.5 inches thick and the is another rubber under the cross member.

So there is no rear motor mount to say, just to the bell housing?
gabbing up what you need is about all the options you have. Id go by and make a template and see where that lands. Doesn't seem as if the CV parts would change the original mount locations.

It doesn't, but like I said I don't have a really clear idea of how the motor mounted before. I never really looked and I wasn't the one that took the motor out.
