where to find rear bumper bolts?

Seems like it should be a 3/4 x 1 carriage bolt. Very tough to find. 1952 F1

Have you tried Classic Haulers Home - Classic Haulers F-1 Parts. Give them a call, they have things not listed on line and are very helpful, if they don't have them they may be able to tell you where to find them.
If you want used, stick around, there are a number of members that have parts stocks.

Check an old Ford dealership. That is where I got mine in 1999.

Are you sure they aren't 9/16" x 12 x 1 1/2"? Dennis Carpenter sells them in stainless, and they're listed as being for 48-79.

I'm assuming of course you're looking for rear bumper bolts.

Curiously, the Parts CD doesn't have a listing for '48-'52. Any parts shop with a Dorman assortment should have ones that will work.

Could that be because rear bumpers were optional equipment for those years?

I was wrong about the size, I measured the square holes and the one in the bracket is 3/4 x 5/8 and the bumper is 5/8 square. The 9/16 would work but would be a little sloppy I believe. A 5/8 carriage bolt will fit the bumper perfectly with a little room for sideways adjustment in the brackets.

Try stainlesstown.com. I got mine from there and a lot of other stainless products. They are very reasonably priced and ship pretty quick.
