questions about tranny swap

I have a 1977 f-250 4x4 with the 351M , 4 speed and np205 transfer case. i want to swap in a c-6. i have found a big block c6 what else do i need ? torque converter,flywheel etc.
also someone told me there are different lenghts of tailshafts on the c6. any help at all would be great.

You are going to need a shifter, the stock one was on the steering coloumn, and you'll need the cable that conntects it to the shifter.

If you have a divorced 205 you are in good shape with any c-6, but if you have a late 77 with a married 205, you will need to find a big block c-6 "with a matching" long or short c-6 to 205 adapter. I did the swap from a divorced 205 with a c-6, to a married 205 with a c-6 ( more street, daily driving friendly )
