2014 superduty fuel filter wix not the hot set up
Tried a wix filter kit and the plastic under the hood part will not seat in the stock location. The water separator filter was ok but the bottom configuration of the plastic housing is different than OEM part.
Save your money buy OEM on line and get the right parts the first time... Live and learn, have um in stock save money, and get right...

All that really mattes on the underhood filter is if the tube connectors hook up, even if it doesn't fit just right in the mount it will still work.
The other thing is that you have to have the wix filter turned just right for it to seat all the way down into the mount.
Of course, I have been able to find the motorcraft filters for less than the wix anyway so that is what I always use.

Have no idea why anyone would scrimp for a few dollars on a filter when they're dealing with a 15 grand engine. Tight asses never fail to amuse me.

If someone made a better than stock filter I might use it. I definitely won't while I have some warranty. FoMoCo for fuel, air, and oil filters.

Wix is a top quality filter brand and they aren't cheap so nobody is scrimping by buying them.
But, like I stated, you can buy the motorcraft filters cheaper.

too many guys were burned with 6.0's where virtually every other brand of "top" quality filter DIDN'T work

6.4's you could only use OEM as well. They were all made by Racor. I consider that far better than wix.
I will be using only oem on this truck as well.

Well said... Perhaps using only Motorcraft filters was the reason I had all 8 original injectors at 170k miles.

No,most people get quotes of 9k or so for full fuel system replacement with most of that being labor I believe.
15k for an entire new engine I believe is what previous poster meant.

That is correct and that doesn't include install labor.
