rotor question
so I found a 80 f100 up for parts and I can get the rear end with 5x4.5 bolt pattern out of it my question is I also found a 76 f150 that I can get the spindles off of can I run the front rotors off of a 80 f100 with the 5x4.5 bolt pattern on the 76 spindles with 76 calipers if I put them on my 68 f100

I know bearing companies have books which lists bearings by size so figuring out which bearings and their races could be found. But I don't know if the rotors would line up with the calipers though.

jeff the bearings are the same for both and I know that they both take a floating caliper the only thing that I am seeing is that the rotor for the newer truck is about half an inch smaller in diameter this would all be a temporary thing as I want to do the cv swap eventually but the parts that I have found don't just pop up all the time so I guess my main question is will the smaller rotor be a bad idea or unsafe

If the brake shoe extends beyond the radius of the disc, then you will polish the disc edges, and step the pads in that area. If I had every intent to change the discs and pads in the very near future I would do it just to get on the road again. I certainly would not put thousands of miles on it.
