A brief background I could never get my door on my 55 f100 to line up. Well I tried a trick from axracer and used 2 x 4 screwed together. I palced the 2 x4 between the bottom of the door and the running board. I used pergo flooring samples from home depot as a shim. Oh i forgot you need to loosen the bolts on the hinge to door when shimming. keep shimming until you get the fit in the frame you want.Use paint stirrers for spacing between sides and top of door. Then tighten bolts on door to hinge.
My question is if I want to use altman door latch kit. Do i center the door and get everything to fit correctly. And then take it apart to install kit? I guess I am trying to find the order to follow. Any ideas?

You'll want to make sure your doors are exactly where you want them before modifying the latches. Don't take anything apart. Fit the doors, install the latches, then add the strikers in the post to fit.
