I have a 2001 F250 7.3L 4x4. It has a Tony Wildman chip, intake and exhaust. Couple days ago it started slipping in 1st, starting around 2krpms till redline and wouldn't shift into 2nd. The few times I could get it to shift it drove normally.
I assume this is the mechanical diode issue? I thought I was about a month too late to get that part, but who knows. Is there any diag I should do prior to removing the tranny?
Codes are:
P0781 1-2shift
P0732 gear 2 incorrect ratio
P1248 turbo boost pressure not detected (kinda random... engine runs great)
I've never rebuilt an auto before, but plan/want to learn. For parts I'm thinking:
-Red Eagle extra clutch kit
-RacerX Eagle triple disc billet TC
-Sonnax SC-4R100HD sure cure kit
-filter stay put clip
-Sonnax center support ring
Is any of this overkill? Should I buy anything else? I plan to get at least stage 1 injectors in the future, but prob stop there. Thanks!!
