I finally got the 4" straight pipe for the red truck, and man does it sound awesome. Its far more different than the sound of the 3-1/2 stock exhaust with the cat and muffler replaced with a straight pipe on the white truck. I never would have guessed the full 4" exhaust system would make that much of a difference. Definately worth the $35 and 45 minutes I spent on the project.
Good deal! I just came through Reno in 4th gear at about 2400 rpms. Most of the freeway has a big brick wall for exhaust to echo off of. Haha
It really is amazing how much better these trucks sound with some good diameter pipe. Everytime I hear a stoc truck I cant believe mine used to sound like that...
The turbo howels! But I really only hear mine on the low end now. Sounds badass in bumper to bumper traffic
I actually hear the turbo more on my white truck with the smaller exhaust, but that could be due to the air filter, EBPV delete, and 1.0 turbine housing.
