New From Northern Utah

Hi, my name is John and I live in Northern Utah (ogden area if anyone is near by). I've spent the last 2 years working in the North Dakota Oil Fields, and have recently returned home to work on my vehicles.

I have a fleet of 4 trucks, (2 chevy 2 ford)
1985 F250(Daily Driver):
RWD 351W(Edelbrock 1406 4bbl), T19, Dual 2.25"/Flowmaster Super 40s

1977 F150 Custom(Current Project):
RWD 351M(Holley 2300 2bbl), T18, Dual 2.25"/Flowmaster Super 44s

1967 C20 Chevy(Alternate Daily Driver):
RWD, 350 GM Goodwrench(Holly 4160), THM 400, Hooker Headers/Dual 2.5"Stainless/Flowmaster Super 44s

1950 Chevy 3600(Current Long term Project):
RWD, 235 Full Oiler(Rochester 1bbl), SyncroMesh/Floor Shift, Single 2"/Cherrybomb

I have built everything I own, and I enjoy the challenge of figuring out the older systems. They're not the cleanest vehicles but they also didn't cost much either. Most of them were in a non running status when I purchased them, both of the fords I intercepted on the way to getting crushed.

Most of the experience I have with ford trucks is my 1985 F250 that I first started working on when my friend bought it in 1999 (we were both 16 at the time). We had no one to show us how to do anything on them so we got a book and went to work, fast forward several years and many online forums later, I own the vehicle and it has a new 351w under the hood.

I am currently working on my 1977 F150 Custom (RWD) the 351M went on me before I left ND, so I had it shipped home and I now am in the process of an engine swap. I have found a good 460 that I plan on putting in there. This vehicle is also the straightest in the fleet with the least ammount of dents and rust, so it's the one that is slated to get painted.

I will start another thread for the progress of the engine swap. Currently I have an empty engine compartment but I did take lots of pictures during that time.

Welcome aboard from Alaska. 85 Bronco 351W HO is my daily. Man your C20 sure brings back some old memories. Had one as my company truck in SoCal. She finally got replaced after 200k on the clock. Lots of driving on that job. Was a comfortable truck for the three of us guys.

They are one comfortable ride alright, but I like the seat in my 1985 F250 more, though I wish the ride quality were as nice as the 67 C20 with the 4 wheel variable rate coil..
