If you don't mind me asking, how do you know if your timing chain is going bad? I know once it is ripped off, the whole engine would need a serious repair so i'd like to know if there is a way to foresee it before happens.

If you have a good ear you can hear the slap in the chain when it's in gear and parked, kind of like a swooshing sound at cam speed. And, right you are these are interference motors head job if chain or timing components fail. and kits can be found online for under 400 with water pump and all timing componants
