Sorry but it looks like a big waste of useable sheet metal. What is he paying for the trucks he's hacking up? where is he getting them from? After buying the truck and doing all work that $1500 isn't too bad of a price but I wouldn't want one in my house. Every time I'd walk into my kid's room I just look at it, rub my hand over it and lament about the wasted sheet metal.
Would have been better to think the whole thing through before firing up the Sawzall. Find a home that can accommodate a 10' long - unbendable, tall, heavy piece that needs to get into a bedroom - and you'll not find an owner who is interested in this type of work.
I can't help but feel a little sad that a pretty cherry pickup was made into something that will probably go next to the steel recycler after the kid grows up.
On the other hand, it might look good hanging on the wall of someone's shop if for no other reason than an example of what not to do.
