I just changed the head gasket in my 79 F100, 300 I6. After driving it about 100 miles, I have foam in the air cleaner again. I am also losing oil and antifreeze.
The truck never overheated when the head gasket blew the first time. It ran warmer after fixing it, but still did not over heat.
I looked the head over for cracks, and did not find any.
I am not sure what to do. Should I replace the head gasket again, or is there something else to check into?
When you replaced the head gasket did you check the head and deck to make sure they were both true/flat? If the head is warped it's not going to seal up without being machined.
And just because you can't see any cracks doesn't mean it's not cracked.
