Question 30 psi of boost to 25 after ported turbo housing??

okay so I just put on a USA ported housing from clay at riffraff. Before the housing I would hit 30 psi of boost after the max I hit was 25! is this normal? or do I have a boost leak?

I was afraid it was a boost leak. I didnt remove the intercooler pipes so I know its not that. should i just tighten the 5 bolts on the housing more and make sure it seated properly in the intake spyder? thanks! it completely eliminated the surge and in my opinion it sounds even better than the stock setup.

I'm assuming you pulled the intake spyder do remove the compressor housing.. so I would say your intake boots are loose.

Get the t-clamps lined up and tightened down. The best way is with an impact wrench so you can hold them in place and tighten them quickly

no I was able to get it off without removing it so none of the clamps were loosened at all.

Shouldn't you get slightly less boost with no noticeable issues with a ported housing?

They are "ported" for a reason...to bypass air and eliminate the surge.

I am not to sure myself, I think i may give clay at riffraff a call and see what he has to say. I havent gotten the time to get under the hood and look for leaks or tighten things down yet due to school and a track meet this weekend so it sounds like my spring break will be workin on the beast.
