Thanks run... excellent as always.....
I was in touch with Tousley about the front and rear main seals. Yes they have a wear plate so they are not like the original stock ones.

Also I noticed some have foot notes.
Example.. cylinder head sequence and torque specs has a b footnote next to it.
There are no values for the cylinder heads except for the letter b. Is there some kind of instructional write up for the heads with the b next to it?

If you order the engine front cover/oil pump kit with the part number I provided in the list, you won't need to order the front crank seal, it comes with the kit.
In answer to your question regarding the cylinder head bolt torque specs, the footnote you refer to lists the five steps for the factory torque-to-yield head bolts. If you are using ARP head studs, an illustration will be included illustrating the torque specs for the ARP head studs.

The new ones are like the ones run installed with the seal installer.

The purpose of the wear ring is to give the new seal a nice flat, ungrooved new surface to seal to, and hence why they are included with all replacement crank seals.

OK. That makes sense. So the wear ring gets loctited to the crank if I remember right from runs thread.
Also, unless I missed it, the bed plate is one of the first assembly units to go back on the block, I didn't see the bolt torque for these.
Is there a chance m-chan you might know the spec or at least point me in the direction to look.

Hey Doane, go on ebay n get a ford DVD. It will answer all ur questions.
Get the one for your year,, obviously. You just set the date on your computer to the date on the DVD. Here's an example

I did print out the entire engine assembly and install pages n put them in page protectors n a 3 ring binder. But I forgot it at Corey's (creator) place in flagstaff. If I get it back before you need the crank seals then I will put it with them. I found it easier to turn pages than the computer.
