I am about to remove my passenger side valve cover sometime soon on my 4.6 Windsor engine. I know how but was wondering if there is any tricks to make this easier and how long I should plan to do this. I live in Connecticut, and its supposed to rain soon/ the weather here sucks and has been pretty cold lately. Don't want to get this off and get stuck working on it in 20 degree weather.

Yep, pay someone else to do it!
Seriously though, invest the time to get as much stuff out of the way as possible (yes, including heater hoses). Pulling the valve cover off is pretty basic, but when you go to reinstall it, you don't want the seal/gasket getting bumped against anything because of tight quarters.
It should take no more than 2 hours. But to be safe I would allocate 4 hours of good weather to do the job, just so you don't get caught out in bad weather.
Thanks alloro for your insight. Guess I'll wait. It always seems to work this way when I got mechanical work. Well once I get the cover off I will let everyone know whats messed up in the engine.
Stay at home dad, Saturday seems to be the best day to get into my next engine venture. Anyone have suggestions on buying timing sets or any other parts for that matter. I am checking summit, jegs, jc whitney, etc. saw a place called RockAuto and checked their better business but still a little nervous to buy from them.
