Just thought I'd tell everyone here on FTE that I got my pace maker on Tuesday and am home doing great. Sore at the insicion point and not supposed to use my left arm at all for 2 weeks and then be real careful up to 6 weeks. I don't feel any different yet but haven't done anything either. I just hope it does what it is supposed to do, Garry It sure is a beautiful day and I can't drive for 3 weeks either, bummer.
Good deal, glad everything went well. So I guess if you need any welding done you have to invite a friend over to do it.
My wife is on her 6th or 7th one. current one is about 7 yrs old. apparently this one will beep at her when the battery is getting low. its about that time too, unfortunately.
Glad to hear that you're doing well - As soon as the Dr allows you to start rasing your arm - Go in easy stages - I didn't use/move my left arm for several months after a surgery - I had to go back and get my arm "released" - I did't feel the pain but my brother heard me screaming from the waiting room
Good deal Garry! It will be a good thing for you. Take it easy like they said and let that thing heal into its place. BTW, stay away from really big magnets.
Good to hear Garry. I hope they set your timing up I totally forgot about the welding thing too, my neighbor had that done and couldnt weld anymore or be close to it cause it would flip it out.
Good news Gary, my step son just got the "defib. kind" put in his chest two weeks ago and is doing fine. Do what the Dr. says, heal, and get back to enjoying life.
Ya, no hanging out at the scrapyards, or touring inside large dams with electrical generation equipment etc.

My wife's pacer picks up the vibrations from driving on washboard roads and thinks she's running or exercising so it automatically picks up the pace, so she feels like she's been running afterwards. (workout from sitting )
once was driving under (along ) some high tension power lines out in the Arizona Strip when she informs me I really needed to get off that road (it was more of a trail) but had to find another route back. you know those powerlines that you can hear the buzzing in your head and the hair on your arms and neck stand up when you are under or near them...
Hey Garry,
Good move - My brother has had his forever - feels great.
I had an ablation this summer - ah ummmm - how do I say this delicately -
No girlfriends for a while - take it easy over there!
