Idea for ladder/traction bars
I have a rear sway bar on my truck and i really want some ladder bars cuz wheel hop is gay. Anyways i was thinking i oculd build some that would just bolt right to the U bolts holding the sway bar on with some flat pieces with holes drilled in them and box the frame in one section with a bracket coming off the bottom. what do you think?

im not exatcly sure wut you are describing, but the l and l ladder bars u buy use 2 similar size ubolts on each side to hold the bar onto the axle tube.
if you dont want to lose flex design eithe r slip joints or a shackle into the front of the bars to allow the axle to still move back and forth, but not twist

Can't add much, since fishy and ho covered it. Its better to weld flanges onto your axle tubes which the ladder bars bolt into, but its perfectly acceptable to use the more common U-bolt method. Much easier too if you don't have the fab skills. You have to be carefull welding on axle tubes. Mind the shackle or slip joint like Ho mentioned if you want any rear articulation.
