Does anyone make a replacement for the egg shaped boot that goes around the clutch rod where it goes through the firewall on this truck?
C5TZ-7A533-A (replaced C5TZ-7A582-A) .. Seal (Boot)-Clutch Pedal Rod / 3 3/4" long x 2 1/2" wide at flange / Reproduced
Applications: 1965/67 F100/350 // (1968/70, 1971 F100/350 before serial # M00,001 different / 1971 from serial #M00,001, 1972/79 F100/350 is different again).
Available from Dennis Carpenter (800-476-9653) @ 25.00 / Illustrated/listed on page 51 of his 1957/66 truck repro parts catalog (my 2011 paper version).
Note Very Important: The clutch rod has two 90 degree ends with a nylon bushing on each. The bushings crack apart/disintigrate, the 90 degree ends begin to crack, eventually snap off.
This rod is obsolete, no one reproduces it, no Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
Carpenter has the bushings (C0AZ-7526-B), illustrated/listed on page 50 @ $3.00 for the pair.
When you call, ask for this parts catalog, it's free.
