I pick up my 2012 F 250 tomorrow and I am setting up an appointment for a 6 inch lift and wheel and tire package for next weekend. My question is should I go with a 38x15.5x20 or a 37x15.5x20. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I just went with Ready Lift stage 4 3.5" lift. Seems like a high quality product. Took it in for an alignment and the camber was still spot on. Just needed to make a slight adjustment to the steering. Trust me, 3.5" is plenty. I'll follow up with wheels and 35" trails in a month or so.
I like my 4.5" lift with 35s although I'd rather have a 6" lift with 37s. I refuse to have my speedo 7-8 mph off on the interstate. That would drive me nuts so until the aftermarket figures out how to program the truck to accept larger tires I'm sticking with 35s.
It's not the tuners fault with the new Fords. The trucks computer can not accept tire sizes larger than 34", regardless of how you attempt the change. Try to set it to anything larger and the computer gets pissy and you get CEL and whatnot.
I had the Carli Pin-Top King shock system like Darren, top notch system but 4.5" of lift (which I thought looked great, it was the perfect height IMO). My mech, friends, people walking by, loved it. Darren had my money spent in no time and I highly recommend it. Rode like an 8000 lb sports car.
