Thanx everyone, hopefully they will give me the clearence I need so I dont hang up on thost R/A brackets. Dont Jinx me, I have warn shafts, CTMs, 4:88s, Detroit in that D44 so it should hold up well. I have 2 sets of front axels, 2 sets of ball joints, 1 set of rear axels, etc.... as spares, so Im prepared.
Yeah, I would start investigating those upgrades. I thought that surely my axle u-joints, driveshaft (or u-joints) or rear axle would fail before both bearing caps broke off my 9" carrier and about 5 teeth broke off the ring gear! (See Tellico report for an update.)

I dunno man, my buddy has the same set up as mine, 44" Boggers, front Dana 60/moser stub shafts, locker, ctms, and he's managed to shear his stub shaft several times. I would think a 39" bogger on a 44 with alloy outers would be more prone for breakage than a 44" bogger on a 60 with alloy outers. My buddy wheels like a maniac but it doesn't look like you exactly take it easy either But you're smart and carry all the spares so run it till you break it then upgrade.
There is nothing wrong with 4.56 gears. They may have not been a good choice with his combination. I have 5.13s and can run fine on the highway. But thats my combination. Just wanted to clarify because I could see somebody looking at this thread and thinking there was something magically inherently wrong with 4.56 gearing
