My truck weighs 12,000lbs every day and I also tow a 10,000lbs dump trailer.
Last fall I put on pads and rotors from ART and could not be happier.
The only thing is they are not the cheapest.
In the past, turning Ford rotors has not been the best idea IMO (too thin already). Not sure about our 6.0L rotors though (especially the 05-07 model years since they are beefier than the earlier ones). All I know is that the ART's are good - my son put them through a lot of abuse on the 7.3L and they held up very well.
I'm a fan of OEM pads only $65 or so If I remember right. I'm currently running napa severe duty rotors and they are holding up well. I've done a few hard stops weighing about 15k and they didn't warp so I guess they have my stamp of approval. I used to run the severe duty pads from Napa. They last forever and don't dust but they don't stop as well as the OEMs that's for sure.
