accumulator spring in tranny
I am having problems with my tranny hard 1 to 2 shifts. I have 97 exped 5.4 4wd and I am wanting to replace the accumulator spring. May first question is where is it located? is it in the valve body or is it off to the side? Do I have to pull the valve body off? and last does ford sell the spring at the dealer or do I have to order somewhere? any help would be awesome or any pics thanks.

There are a number of threads that deal with replacing the 1-2 accumulator spring. It would be most helpful to you if you looked in the TRANSMISSION forum for those threads since it's not an Expy-specific issue.
