Not quite sure exactly how these mount, i have new lower weather strips, repops, from Drake, they appear to tuck in the corner of the rocker sill, but any mounting holes in the sheet metal disappeared sometime when I replaced the rocker sills several years ago .
Anybody have any photos of how these are supposed to mount?
Welcome to FTE, Doug. That's one beautiful truck you got there, I like the color combo. Can't say I have any hands on experience with '37s, but I'm sure somebody will be along shortly who will know.
What are you using for a drivetrain?
327 L79 I had laying around for some years, 200-4r, Ford 9" with Trac Loc,and four wheel disc brakes.
Still need to finish the interior and hook up the A/C compressor, but everything else is pretty much done.
Body is all stock and all steel, Interior is stock looking, but upgraded with cloth type surface.
It was basket case when i got it 20 years ago, cheap, and finally had the time and $$ to get it finished, starting a couple years ago. Most stuff was intuitive, but a few things like the weather strip are still being figured out, as I want it looking like a '37 Ford as much as possible, not an ad lib hotrod or ratrod.
Those were the cheapest wheels and tires I could find, as 1), i wasn't sure how they were going to clear the fenders, and 2) wheels often get messed up during the build, and in the body shop, which, they did.
I have some 16X7 smoothie type wheels and period Ford V8 logo hubcaps on the way from The Wheelsmith, gonna get those powder coated to match the red body color.
