What size tires with 18" MB TORQUE wheels?
Anyways, I am buying the 18" MB TORQUE wheels from Discount Tire and was wondering which would be the best size tire? I have a 2000 X, 4wd with the V10. At the moment, it is stock. From what I have been reading, 18s should fit without the need for spacers. Is that true with all applicable tire sizes? i want to fill out the wheel wells as much as possible. Our X is about to begin a mild face lift. It's a Limited, black with the gold trim. I'm going to have it painted ALL black, add Harley Davidson headlights, and add the front air dam and rear bumper cover from Xenon, with a few shiny points to accent the dark (gas door, wheels, etc.). I've already done the upgraded Super Duty Grille and headlights from the 2005-07 vintage.
So, I'm looking for a more "aggressive" look that is great/quiet on the road. We don't go off roading. I am keeping the "stocks" for Winter. We live in Central Iowa. I have BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KOs on my pickup and I really like them. I guess I really need to know the size, for sure, so I don't have any "shoulder rubbing" going on. Finally, I'm also open to anyone's opinion on their choice for tires.
Thanks for the help and comments, before hand, and I look forward to the expertise and opinions on my future mods and silly questions, later on down the road.
P.S. Here is the link to the wheels. Interactive Wheel System - Discount Tire Direct You may have to pick the X's color to get to it, but it will give you an idea of what I'm thinking. Also, they only have the pics in the 16" size but they do have them in the 18s. Thanks
I have 18" rims on my X with 275/70 R18 Load range E tires. I went with silent armours from Goodyear. So far the drive nice. They are new so I have not used them through all seasons but from what I have read from others they are good in the snow and rain.
I upgraded my leaf springs with v/b so I don't have clearance issues. My tires are pretty much a 33" time.

.For further clarification, the measurements of the Torque's are 18x8.5...offset of 10. Bolt pattern is 8-170. I was thinking of tire sizes 265/65s, 275/65s, 285/60s, or 285/65s. So, will I need to re-think my wheel size choice if I'm going to be stuck on stock suspension for a while? Thanks, again
