V code Or X code Front Springs

I know the differences in height. I would like to know if there is any differences in ride quality? Any help would be great.

I recently installed X-Codes replacing very worn U-Codes.... other than NOT hitting bump-stops anymore on good bumps.... I would say they ride about the same. That's with my F-350, tho.

I have Xcodes and I love the ride. Granted, the springs had about 80k miles on them when I put them on, and I have a heavy diesel and a 280 lb bumper to soften it all out. But, I love the ride. I think any less would have been too soft for my setup and not provided enough lift, which I wanted.

Thanks for the input guys. I also have a 7.3L Diesel. I just wanted to make sure it didn't ride like a tank.

I've been debating this as well and I believe I am going to compromise and go with W's for the front. In between the two. Guess we'll see.

My truck has the 5.4 V8 and i went with the V's. The ride isn't harsh at all. Now I wish i would have went with the X-codes.

Sounds like everyone with the X codes is happy. I have the V's and am real happy with them also. If I were to do it again I would go with the V code again but I have not driven one with X codes. The V codes handle well and are firmer than the stock springs but are not harsh at all. The V's eliminate body roll and give plenty of wheel travel. Good luck on the deal on the X codes.

The X codes were primarily recommended for trucks with snow plows on the front due the extra weight. X's have a combined weight rating of around 6,000# versus V-codes 5,200# rating.

I went with V's in my 05 6.0 and have been very satisfied.

I have a set of X's for the front and C's for the rear in my garage waiting for me to find the time to get them put on! I believe I made the right choice for my truck.

I put used W's on my Ex and raised it about 1.75 inches if I recall ride is very good with Rancho 9000XLs. I put used X's on my F250 and it is stiffer for sure but tolerable with Rancho 5000s(can't afford the 9000s yet).

The X-codes I found for my Ex, I found them on the sale section on this forum, but I looked everywhere including craigslist for a good deal.
