Looks like a tough old engine. I assume you're planning to rebuild that beast.. Is that a gear train cover infront of the oil filter? Or is it chain driven?

J = 223 1V I-6.
H = Lorain OH Assembly Plant.
218205 = 1962, assembled September 1961.
Only F100/350's were available w/a 3 speed manual trans, the shift lever is located on the steering column.
It's prolly a Borg Warner T-98 4 speed, Warranty Plate TRANS code: F / 1961/62 F Series trucks: The Warranty Plate is located on the inside of the glovebox door.
Be aware that 223 exhaust manifolds are very prone to cracking and are almost impossible to find used. Not reproduced, no one that I'm aware of has any new manifolds.

Yes, indeed its a 4 speed. On my exhaust mani I cant find any visible cracks and the heater valve thing moves freely so I dont know if im lucky or looking at the wrong area lol
