Pulling engine tomorrow, questions

I am pulling my 7.3l out tomorrow (blew head gasket 365k miles) and replacing with a good low mileage 7.3L. I know the engine comes out the front, but does the 6spd trans need dropped or can it be blocked up?

I'd just throw a good ratchet strap across the frame rails if it was me.

We hold up engines and transmissions in big trucks with chains when we work on them don't see why a good 3" ratchet strap shouldn't hold a zf6 with ease.

I've had a little orange Home Depot 1" ratchet strap holding up a 5r110 for about a year now with no ill effects I just try to step up from what I do when I give advice so that nobody can come back to me and say "you said this would work and it didn't"
