Graywerks-brand Harmonic Balancer
Just picked one up to replace the presumable factory one on the engine now. It seems to be slipping if the timing mark is any indication.
Any opinions on the brand? There doesn't seem to be much difference between any of the stock replacement type balancers as far as I can tell.
There's about a half dozen things I'm all set to do for the Bronco as soon as I get the distributor back. Someone put me onto a hot rod shop less than five minutes from my house who has a Sun machine and recurves.
That's the good news. The bad news he's had it for a month now. I've been too damn busy at the day job to badger him about it during the week. If the truck wasn't just a toy I'd probably be pretty hot, but he does seem to know what he's doing so I'll just have to factor in some extra time in the future. I dropped off a 2-bbl adapter someone gave me to have have him open up to match a Motorcraft 2150 I'm gonna try just for fun.
Once I can move the truck she'll get some new progressive rate springs, radius arm bushings, and axle pivot bushings, too. Next weekend, supposedly again.
