Odd Miss/Strange Symptoms, I'm Stumped!
Alright guys, for the past week or 2 my truck had been having this strange miss. Though it's not really a miss... more like the truck buck's or something, it's almost like the engine wants to shut off and then picks itself right back up.
Monday morning on my way to work it had done this once or twice, while on the interstate my CEL kicked on and my truck ran like garbage, I couldn't get it past 45, though I stayed in 5 and was holding the rpm's, I was on an uphill in a construction zone so I couldn't let it shut down there. I topped the hill and let off the throttle and it cleared up and went back to running fine and the CEL light went off, still ran into the occaisonal miss episode though.
This evening on my way home from work, my truck completely shut down going down the road. No CEL light or anything, I pulled off the the side and it fired right back up. No clue guys. I've changed the fuel filter, drained the fuel bowl, ran fuel treatment, Changed the CPS once. Sorry for the long post but this was hard to explain. Any idea's or suggestions would be appreciated!!!!

Haven't had time to find a scanner to get the codes read. I work 7 days a week, and the one at the parts store I work at as my part time job won't pick up anything, but that's agiven I guess....

Intermittent problems like you describe are probably sensor related. I would be looking hard at the CPS then at the TPS.

I'll try the CPS again even though i just replaced it, Working at a parts store has its benefits lol. It's probably unrelated but... I found this while i was checking things under the hood.
Fuel is leaking from the boot in this wire... I don't recall it doing that before this happened and I'm sure it's not supposed to do that.
