I noticed alot of white smoke when i was pulling my trailer when i let of the gas pedal. But if i pushed the gas pedal it would stop blowing smoke? Any ideas?
Just noticed your post count and joint date. Welcome to FTE.
For blowby, unscrew the oil fill cap with the engine running (don't be alarmed if smoke comes out) and flip the cap upside down and lay it on the oil fill tube. Watch to see if there is pressure coming out the fill tube that's enough to knock the cap off the tube or if the cap just vibrates around and slides off. You can also just feel it with your hand. If there is pressure, that's bad, if it's just smoke, that's fine.
Also, how long have you had the truck? Did you watch it roll over 300,000 or was it already over that when you got it? The reason I ask is these trucks don't ever hit 400,000 miles on the odometer. They roll back to 300,000 each time.
Thank you for the welcome and advice i will give it a try.I recently bought the truck i think it only has 303,000 because when i got it the oil filter had had the mileage on it (298,000ish) its a 96 F350 crew cab 4x4 on 37 only mod is 4" straight pipe from turbo out.
