front brakes dragging ' F350 58k

my front brakes seem to be sticking. I pulled the wheel off and rotor turns by hand but is dragging. Is it supposed to be touching the brake pads??

Grease the slide pins on your calipers. Those pads should be right up agains't the rotor but no much that it creates a drag.

My front passenger side rim is always dirty with brake dust before the other three, the truck does not pull one bit and it does not seem to be dragging. I know my 06 psd had a much different feel to the breaks and this 08 takes more pedal pressure. Not sure what to look at or fix. 53000 miles on the truck.

try this

take the brake cappler off and take one brake pad and a big c-clamp and push the piston back in

now it will take a bit of force but not a lot if it is very hard to get the pistons to go back in replace the cappler

now after that Grease the slide pins on your calipers

You also need to make sure the pads are not binding in the caliper bracket, which is also common. The pads should be able to move fairly freely. If not, remove the pads and shims and then grind away any rust in the notch where the shims sit on the bracket. Put caliper slide grease on this cleaned surface, NOT on top of the shim where it touches the pads. Reassemble, pump the brakes a few times, and check to make sure the wheels rotate freely.
