I pushed my moonroof toggle switch up through it's mount in the center of the map light fixture on my '08 F350 Lariat. My dealer tells me that there are no parts available for the fixture, so a $1.50, Chinese made POS is going to cost me $347 to replace? Are there any outside (other than dealer) sources available? I do not know the part #, but have attached a picture. ANY help or advise with this thing would be very much appreciated.
I haven't figured out how to replace a light bulb in that same fixture. I was afraid of breaking it for the same reason- the cost. Have you been to your local junkyard? If you take it out see if you can figure out bulb replacement, there's no help in the owners manual. Good luck, Mike
My light on right side quite working so here is how to remove gently pull down on outer frame at same time first the sides just till you hear it click then front or back of frame about even with the push switches for map lights then same place again depending where you started front or back the whole housing will then pull down but just don't yank it it could break
Then you twist the little black ***** for witch ever bulb needs to be replaced
I found it was not my bulb but the plastic around where **** twists in was melted and bulb was no longer locked in place so contact was lost now trying to locate the whole unit
Hope this helps you

I have had the same problem. I found OEM replacements with LED's, but they dont have the sunroof switch. I have a guy looking tomorrow at the local yard for one.
