I am not really a fan of the light bar look but I have not been able to find a HID / Projector solution that I like. I need more light!
Randy Ellis light bar $160.00 ($40 off for buying 2 sets of lights)
2 @ KC rally stainless steel 8" driving lights 130w $285.00 for the pair
2 @ KC rally stainless steel 8" long range lights 130w $285.00 for the pair.
**Long range lights NOT DOT, for off road use only**
KC has these is HID but pretty pricey (list is about $1,250.00 / pair) so I opted for the halogen.
GREAT product and GREAT service from Rany Ellis Design.
The look is already kinda growing on me so this may be a permanent solution, who knows.
Used a couple of upfitters (finally!)
It's a bit hard to tell from the pics because the camera adjusts for the amount of light and I don't know how to use it on anything other than the auto setting. But there is substantially more light!
Here are some pics

Had the same exact setup on my 2000! I used to live down the road from Randy (when I lived in AZ) so when I got my bar, I just drove over and met him and picked it up. Really nice guy. He was on Junk Yard Wars for one of their jeep builds too...
Anyways, the bar was ridiculously strong, and I actually pulled a guy out of the dunes using it (wanted to test its strength). The lights are awesome for off roading. I had a difficult time with inspections out here in PA but found a guy who would pass me as long as I had them covered. I took an old mud flap and cut it to the interior diameter of the lights and snapped the covers back on. One winter in PA and the lights and bar got trashed from the salt though. KC warranty's the lights for something like 13 years, just make sure to fluid film the he11 out of it if you're in a salt area.
I took the KC lights off of my '05 when I traded it in.I've been consdiering a 'back rack' or something similar to mount the lights on my '11, but your solution is definitely a consideration.
dude that looks cool, does the guy selling it have a website?? the real question is how much do you like it in actual use?? I dream of having a lightbar like that with HID's on it. maybe with 4 lightforce lights on it.
Cowboy, its www.randyellis design.com. As for actual use, too soon to tell but so far so good. I will update after I have used it a bit. Sorry to read your stranded post, how I have not knocked that thing off I have no idea. Worry about it every time I am off road! Hope someone comes up with some protection for it!
I just put a pair of KC 57 series 55w halogens on my truck. Installed them in the space on each side of the front tag bracket. They work very well to supplement the headlamps. Used upfitter #1 for those. Don't have pics of them yet but will post some this weekend.
