95 f150 electrical problem
I have a 95 f 150, 4.9 L inline six, 5 speed. Here's the situation, my truck ran fine yesterday, this morning when i go to start it the battery is dead. When i put the jumper cables on it, my cables almost instantly melted while only being connected to my truck and nothing else. After a little inspection, i found an electrical connection clicking nonstop inside the truck, underneath the drivers side dash board. I disconnected it and it stopped etc. My question is, has anyone dealt with this problem and is there a way to locate the source of the problem w/o a voltmeter? is it a short?
