Huge paint code mystery! need help!
i just bought a 2000 excursion limited 4x4 with a v10 i need 2 get a door repainted so i looked at the paint codes on the tag on the driver side the code reads SE-TX it is a 2 tone. but the problem is SE and TX are bringing up the wrong colors. mine looks more like Dark Green Satin Metallic but the codes are bringing up silvers....the Dark green code is FU ive looked my excursion up and down and there is no way it has ever been repainted. could there be a mistake? please help me out idk what 2 do. im thinking of going with FU the Dark Green satin metallic. but i dont wana order the wrong paint. please help.. anyone have a limited that reads SE-TX and isint Green and tanish please let me kno what your code is and what color! thanks!

My suggestion would be to go to a Ford dealer that actually has a body shop. They should be able to help you determine what is the correct code. If that isnt available, find a good, and I mean a high end ( the type that does higher end vehicles ) and ask them to help you with the codes.
I have/had a similar problem with my Excursion, the window sticker says it is Mineral Grey, but the codes and color are actually Eddie Bauer colors...and it is an Eddie Bauer.
