Switch to Amsoil?
Motorcraft prices are getting pretty crazy up where I live. Dealers want $6.00 + a liter for 5w-20! Wal-Mart's up here don't carry it like in the states, so it is a dealer only option.
I have the opportunity to buy Amsoil XL 5w-20 for 6.25 a liter, so pretty much the same price as Motorcrafts Semi-Synthetic... Maybe a little more at some dealers and a little less at others.
Anyone using this oil in their 3V 5.4? What OCI are you using?
I plan on keeping this truck a long time so I don't worry too much about costs on things but if I can get a better oil that will net me a little fuel economy and longer OCI's it may be worth it. I currently have 53000 km on it but should be doing 25k per year from now on.
Your thoughts?
