Ok my truck has gone into limp mode on two occasions about a month apart. both times I was able to pull over turn off truck and restart and everything is fine. The thing is the truck was running perfect before and after both occasions. Had it scanned and got turbo over/under boost and and some code pertaining to the cooling fan. Could the sensors assosciated with the turbo be bad or do I have an actual problem, because the thing runs fine and there is no smoke of any kind when the cel has come on. Thanks in advance for any input on this. This site is prooving to be a useful and neccesary tool for the Super Duty owner.

Sounds to me like the PCM is warning you of a harmful condition. This is a feature they added with the most recent PCM strategy. It will warn you if there is an over-boost, if the FICM voltage is low, or if the oil temperature is too high.
The truck can run fine but still have one of those harmful conditions, and continuing to drive it can be catastrophic. It is not something you want to ignore.
My 2006 6.0L with 77k has done this a few times when towing. Under and over boost codes pulled. EOT was 221 while pulling a hill when wrench/limp came on the last time.
I had that happen while towing when I first got the truck in April. It ended up being the VGT veins were sticking and needed to be cleaned with aa new Unison ring installed too. Approx $600 and I was all good.
So what is the solution. I have had all these issues done. Replaced egr valve egr cooler new head gasket new ficm module put new racing bolts on heads. Yet the probl continues
