Header inerchange between F-150's and SD's?
Hey guys i've an 09' F-250 SD with a 5.4 and i want to do some upgrades, one being exhaust. I want to put a set of longtube headers on my truck but no one that i know of makes a set for the Super Dutys. I've some research here on the forums and a few guys were looking into using Pacesetter & OBX longtube headers and Y-pipes for 08' F-150's and putting them on the SD. Does anyone know if that will work? I've seen pictures of the OBX headers and y-pipe and it looks the same (as far as routing goes) on both trucks, but dont know for sure if it will work... Anybody try this???

Don't know if they fit, but here is some more food for thought. Might give you more options
2005-2010 4.6 3V motor has the exact same heads as the 2004-2010 5.4 3V motor. So you can use Mustang stuff (might be cheaper) if they physically fit.
Ford redesigned the spark plugs in late 2007, but the exhaust ports never changed
Hope that can give you some more options. There is a company (Pypes) that offers stainless steel long tubes for $600 or less.

Tylus awesome info about using mustang headers, i didnt know the 4.6's used the same heads as the 5.4 those years. I'll keep all that in mined!! One of the things i have to consider is my truck is a 4X4 too...
